Eon has launched a Sustainable Energy Fund for green-thinking community groups across the UK, offering grants and advice for sustainable improvement energy projects.
The fund is now open for new applications with the next deadline set for 12 June.
Eon community relations executive Tony Jenkin Jones said: “We’ve seen a huge amount of interest from green community groups across the UK, interested in making their communal facilities more sustainable.
“Previous projects have ranged from a solar panelled water heater for a cafĂ© at a monkey sanctuary, to a community swimming pool on Islay, Scotland, which uses waste heat from the nearby distillery for warmth.”
The fund replaces Eon’s Source fund.
